11月17日(月)、日経ビジネス様から当社のアルコールインターロックの取り組みについて取材していただきました。

アルコールインターロックとは、運転者の呼気中アルコール濃度を測定し、基準値以上のアルコールが検出された場合はエンジンを始動できなくする装置です。

アルコールインターロックは導入費用も高額であり、法的な導入義務はありませんが、当社では、他社で起きた飲酒運転事故を教訓として、2007年頃より全車両に導入を開始しました。

2018年からは、アルコールインターロックシステムを自社開発へ移行し、信頼性や精度、利便性の向上に努めています。

アルコールインターロックの全車導入に伴い、当社では飲酒運転事故は１件も生じていません。

On Monday, November 17, we were interviewed by Nikkei Business regarding our company’s efforts with alcohol interlock systems. An alcohol interlock is a device that measures the alcohol concentration in a driver’s breath and prevents the engine from starting if the detected level exceeds the set limit. Although installing alcohol interlocks is costly and not legally required, our company began equipping our entire fleet of trucks with them around 2007, learning from drunk-driving accidents that happened at other companies. Since 2018, we have transitioned to developing our own alcohol interlock system in-house, striving to improve its reliability, accuracy, and usability. Since the full installation of alcohol interlock systems across our entire fleet of trucks, our company has had zero incidents of drunk-driving accidents. To build a safe and secure traffic society for everyone and pass it on to the next generation, we will continue to make investments in traffic safety.

弊社では、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大時期であった2020年から2021年にかけて、経済的に困窮し、修学の継続が困難であると認められる大学生を対象に貸与型奨学金制度の募集を行っていました。
「アルバイト収入が減少した」「親からの仕送りが減少した」等、経済的に困窮し、修学の継続が困難であった16名に制度を利用いただきました。
本制度をご利用いただき、今春に大学を卒業された方からメッセージを頂戴しました。
ご本人の許可を頂戴することができましたのでご紹介させていただきます。
「貴社の奨学金のご支援のおかげで、学会参加や論文執筆に取り組むことができ、学業に専念することができました。
さらに、かねてより志望しておりました医療機器メーカーの研究開発職に就職することが決まりました。

A Message from a Recipient of Our COVID-19 Emergency Scholarship Program

From 2020 to 2021, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, our company launched a loan-based scholarship program to support university students facing financial hardship that threatened their ability to continue their studies.

The program was offered to students who experienced significant economic distress, such as a reduction in part-time income or decreased financial support from family.
In total, 16 students benefited from this initiative.

We recently received a heartfelt message from one of the recipients who graduated this spring.
With their kind permission, we would like to share their words:

“Thanks to the generous support from your scholarship program, I was able to participate in academic conferences, focus on writing research papers, and fully dedicate myself to my studies.
I’m pleased to share that I have now secured a position in research and development at a medical device manufacturer, which had long been my goal.
This would not have been possible without your support. I am deeply grateful.
Once again, thank you sincerely for your warm and continued encouragement.”
